High-precision granite surface plates undergo a rigorous multi-stage machining process—including rough grinding, semi-fine grinding, fine grinding, and final hand lapping following an “8-shaped” trajectory—to achieve flatness tolerances within the micron range and a surface roughness of Ra ≤ 0.32 μm. These stringent specifications ensure the plate serves as a stable, reliable reference datum for measuring flatness and geometric tolerances of precision workpieces in advanced manufacturing and metrology applications.

As the base of precision machinery or optical instrument, microscope stage and guide rail of high-precision machine tool, granite flat plate has strict requirements on precision.
