Precision Granite Surface Plate, Master Hand-Lapped to DIN 876 Grade 00 / ASME AA
The Precision Granite Surface Plates of Shandong Sincere Precision Machinery company are not machined by robots alone. After producing process by CNC rough-grinding, each plate undergoes a final-stage hand lapping process performed exclusively by master craftsmen with 15+ years of experience. Using a figure-8 lapping trajectory and graded diamond slurry, every working face is manually corrected to achieve sub-micron flatness that meets or exceeds DIN 876 Grade 00 and ASME B89.3.7 Grade AA standards. The result is an isotropic, stress-free surface that provides a true reference plane for your most demanding metrology tasks.

III . Key Features for our products:
1.Precision Lapping – Advanced Machine Grinding + Master Hand Finishing
Stage 1 – CNC Rough Grinding
High-precision CNC grinding machines remove bulk material and establish an initial flat reference plane with consistent geometry.
Stage 2 – Master Hand Lapping: A truly precision-lapped surface that only the combination of advanced technology + skilled human hands can deliver.
After machine grinding, each plate is transferred to our most experienced craftsmen. Using a figure-8 lapping trajectory and graded diamond slurry, they manually correct micro-deviations that machines alone cannot eliminate. This final hand-lapping step ensures:
— Stress-free surface (no heat-induced distortion)
–Isotropic texture (uniform in all directions)
–Sub-micron flatness meeting DIN 876 Grade 00 / ASME AA
IV .Packaging & Shipping

V. FAQ :
Q: What is the difference between Grade 00 and Grade AA?
A: They are equivalent top-tier grades from different standards. DIN 876 Grade 00 and ASME B89.3.7 Grade AA share nearly identical flatness tolerances. We inspect each plate to both standards.
Q: How do you verify flatness?
A: We use an electronic level and auto-collimator following the standardized grid measurement method. Each plate is measured at multiple points, and the full report is included with shipment.
Q: Can I get a custom size?
A: Yes. We offer full customization including:
Slots / T-slots for fixturing
Inserts (steel, brass, threaded inserts)
Partial precision areas where only specific zones require Grade 00 / AA flatness
Special cutouts for clearance or mounting
Simply send us your drawing (PDF/DWG/STEP), and our engineers will review and quote within 24 hours.
Q: Do you offer re-lapping service?
A: Yes. If your existing plate wears over time, we offer professional re-lapping and recalibration services to restore it to original grade
